The waiting game.

So little has been happening in my life since my last trip to Japan. Over there I had the opportunity to Interview at my friends company for a Technical Support position servicing EMC storage devices. I didn't get the job, primarily because of my lack of Japanese proficiency. It was pretty sad as I really miss my friends over there and it would have been such a blast to be able to stay in Japan for a while.

After getting back, a friend and former coworker sent me an email saying a position was opening up in his department. It was also, oddly enough, an EMC company and I felt that synchronicity was surely at work. So I sent him the resume I had cobbled together while vacationing in Japan, A4 paper dimensions and all.

That was in January.

I have had phone interviews, face to face interviews, and daily calls to the HR department. My friend tells me that they are just slow, and I have seen and heard evidence of this myself, but it has been an agonizing experience. I just want to work.

Tomorrow is "the day", unless it is not the day. Patience, nothing else can be done. Hopefully I will be working before Christmas.
